How do I get access to the adapter seals

I need to replace the seals in my th350 to np205 adapter plate.( one like in this link)http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=np205. How do I get in there? I see a large snap ring could that be the culprit? I have the dreaded ATF transfer case leak.
UPDATE:
Hearing crickets in here for days.
Ok so it wasn't the most glamorous question ever asked. You've forced me to get off my dead a** and figure it out myself. Went to Harbor freight and bought a cheap set of large snap ring pliers. Boom everything came out... no drama.
