Steering Column Levers.
On the column where the rod to the transmission connects. Some columns have one lever for the rod. And some have another lever that doe's not move.
Why is that. Mine has two. I am looking for a tilt. And I don't want to get the wrong one. Maybe you can see what I mean in my pic. I have a 69. What year tilts will work? Thanks, Grady Last edited by grs; 06-17-2010 at 07:32 PM. |

Re: Steering Column Levers.
I'm going to guess your truck or atleast your column was originally for Three on the tree. 3OTT uses the two levers.

I have seen other trucks that are AT, and they have the same column.

Re: Steering Column Levers.
you talking about the green area? that on autos for the nipple (red) to rest in the different areas when you move to different gears, i think all autos were that way maybe this is what your looking for? the manual columns will have two levers for the rods to go in

Re: Steering Column Levers.
Hubscrub you are right. Mine is an automatic. But I have seen automatic columns that have only one lever.

Re: Steering Column Levers.
I think the tilt columns have internal detent plates so you will only see the shift lever.
