Fitting Rear Window Rubber
I purchased a rear window seal from LMC for my 68' large window. When I tried fitting the glass inside the rubber it didn't fit. The rubber seems too big for it to wrap evenly around the glass. Is this normal? I figured it would fit snug on the glass.

You didn't strech it out did you. The glass should be just tight in the gasket.
I will set mine in the sun and they have all worked fine. So the answer is yes it should fit tight with no gaps.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Yea that's what I thought. Not sure why this one is giving my problems. Guess I'll mess with it some more tomorrow.

I thought mine was big as well. I taped and roped it together and it ended up being perfect. I bought mine at LMC also.

Taped the trim in the corners so it wouldnt roll out. Only tape the top not the side where you cant get the tape out. Is yours a trim set up or no trim?

No mine is without the trim. I found the problem. It was that b.s. rubber I got from LMC. It was about 6" too long. After messing with it for 2 hrs I decided to purchase another from a local classic truck vendor. The new seal fit perfect! I'm returning the worthless LMC rubber.
