Carb adapter plate restriction

I have a adapter plate to mate my stock intake to my edelbrock carb. I was wondering how much restriction this creates. Would buying a new edelbrock intake to match my carb make much of a difference in performance and efficiency?

Re: Carb adapter plate restriction

Most likely yes, but it will depend a little upon what intake you are starting from, some are better then others.....and of course on which Edelbrock you pick.
Will you "feel" a difference?....maybe. I would guess that the biggest difference you see is in fuel economy.
