03 a/c acting up
the wifes 03 avy,with the auto climate control, is blowing hot air,it only does it at stoplights,ever now and then,as soon as we get moving it cold again,took it to a local shop they charged it again and added 1/2 of freon,then said that the a/c control module is bad.
thats a 250.00 part,i`m ok if thats the prolbem,but just want to be sure and not just throw parts at,anyway is there a way to check it? and if bad where is a good place to buy one?? hey josh where you at buddy...

Sounds more like an airflow problem past the condensor. When your stopped in traffic there is not as much airflow thru the condensor to effectively change the temp of the refrigerant. I've seen this happen to systems working properly but ussually on very hot and humid days. you could see if there is a build up of road grime and or bugs in the condensor and between rad. and condensor, that will cause issues also.

clean the condensor and make sure your fan is turning on. my work truck (06 dodge) did the exact same thing. the fan went out on it. very common now that i think of it. all three dodges at work all went out this year.
