Nasty vibration...please give your 2 cents!!!

So ive been driving my 69 K10 for about a week back and forth to work and ive been noticing a really bad Vibration around 55-62 mph. I wouldnt describe it as a 'shake' its definately more of a vibration. Its very noticable on the floor and through the gas pedal. Its really making me nervous because it honeslty feels like my wheels are going to fall off or the trans is shaking the bell housing bolts loose..Pleasee give me any feedback you might have. ---The wheels are all tight, bell housing is tight, drivelines and u joints are tight. It only does it at 55-62 though?? Could a driveline me out of balance..trans mounts..?? Help!! Oh and one more thing..when i put it in park and rev the engine up to 4k there is no vibration...so rule out the motor causing the prob. Thanks!!

This happened to me once, it drove me nuts until I found a big clump of dried mud stuck to the inside of one of my rims.

Last time I had wheels balanced was at a place that did what they call "road force" balancing and it was remarkably smooth after that. They charged more, but I felt it was money well spent.

i'd do a good inspection on the front suspension and steering components as well as condition of the tires for obvious defects as well as checking for any missing wheel weights then take in to get wheels balanced

I was thinking u joints? is it a long bed? center carrier? maybe bad trans mount? even look at the drive shaft to see if you lost a balance tab ? I have even heard of cab mounts broken/rusted could cause vibration. sounds like some weird harmonic imbalance. how old is the ring/pinion? I'm sure that you will find the cause. best of luck to you cheers, Pat
