Exclamation Bunch of work done today.

Converted to 3/4 ton axles, new wheels, tires and 4 inch superlift! What do you think? Just need some paint now!

Dang it bud shes niccceeee. She looks sporting the old paint. How hard was it to change it over to 3/4 ton? I've got a 1/2 ton swb 4x4 i'd like to change over one day. Again, Your truck looks very good.

Ten years ago I did the swap from my old 81 K20 just before I sold it with my brothers 85 K5 Blazer to put my 3/4-ton axles & new wheels & tires onto his Blazer as his stuff was all shot.

Super simple swap as long as the U-bolts don't break. We did it in an hour or so.

I think we had to put in a conversion U-joint on the back, don't remember for sure though.

Re: Bunch of work done today.

As soon as i got a job again and some funds i was planning on painting and leaving it stock, but after that photoshop experience maybe i should jack it up and put some meats on it. But then again its gonna kill any gas mileage i plan on having.

My dad has a parts truck with a 4inch lift on it, dropped pitman arm and the steering stabilizer i planned on installing on my truck, Now im thinking about a new 2 inch lift or leaving it stock. I just got new tires, the next set i go with will probibly be 31x10 goodyear wranglers. Its always temping to lift it like in the picture!

Re: Bunch of work done today.

Hmmmm, Dexter,NM I know where it is,,,,, ditto for Las Cruces,,, I live in Artesia,,,,,Bulldog country.
I kinda agree on the paint,,,if you make em too pretty,,,then you worry about if it will still be in the driveway when you go look. I primered my 80 K10 all over and not real sure when I'll throw some paint on it. I painted the interior last weekend in a silver/gray 2 tone and looks nice. I am going to Roswell tomorrow to pick up a seat out of a 90's Dodge (gasp) that is buckets with a center console that will match my paint scheme really good. I am going to get around to learning how to post pics here. Sure wish I had taken some when we began this project.

Re: Bunch of work done today.

I just left Roswell this morning, very strange town. Artesia is cool, really love the refinery smell. www.photobucket.com is the easy to use. you just upload your pictures to it and you can get a code to post in your post. After you do it once its so simple.
