68 K20 Beyond 52s, Shackle Flip, and Bushings
I'm planning on doing those three things to get the suspension safer on my 68 K20, as right now the front springs are too narrow for the hangers (later model springs) and it has a 4" block in the rear and I'm getting axle hop without even trying!
The parts I want: First Gen Beyond 52s 67 up Shackle Flip Questions: I have no idea who makes poly bushings for the rear springs for a 67/68. I can only find polyurethane for the 69 up springs and I believe those are too narrow (2.5" width instead of 3"). When I put the 52" springs on the front, should I go with a 1/2 or 3/4 ton springs to keep it at the current height as I'm keeping 35s on it and have a heavy diesel motor.

Re: 68 K20 Beyond 52s, Shackle Flip, and Bushings
The bushings don't need to actually touch each other when they are inserted into the springs so I think you could actually use the narrower ones in your wider springs - someone else might have an opinion on that they will share though.
As for the spring flip for the rear shackle - be aware it will move your axle forward and you're going to want to do something to correct that - Offroad Design's Zero Rate can be used to offset the center pin. Here's a pic of my 69 after doing the shackle flip to show you the movement of the rear axle.

Re: 68 K20 Beyond 52s, Shackle Flip, and Bushings
Thanks yukon, I was guessing something would be off, but wasn't sure if I could just drill a new hole in the axle mounting bracket off center. Probably just do the zero rates.
I guess I could try the narrow bushings, I might also look at a spec sheet for bushings, as something has to fit.

I used Energy Suspension bushings in my 68 K-10. They are pretty good guys on the phone and will work through any problems that you might find (like my HD front suspension).
