i need coolant temperature sender help

needing a sending unit with 1/4npt threads for my 85 chevy truck. needs to operate a stock gauge correctly. preferably one with just a stock style plug on it. i'm pretty much ready to fire up my 5.3 but i'd like to have a guage on it. i'm working on a temporary solution with a bell reducer and a 1/2" sending unit. may not be super accurate but at least i can have an idea of what's going on.

Re: i need coolant temperature sender help

Why not either use an adapter for the 12mm hole in the head, or drill out and tap the 12mm hole to accept a stock 3/8npt sender? Those are the two most common ways to do it on the LS swap.
