dually wheels

would the dually wheels from a 07 up silverado work on a 73-87 dually? i am wondering cause i really like the new rims on those trucks and would think they would look pretty cool on an older dually

Re: dually wheels

I know they will work on 88-98 body style because I have them on my 2000 dually, that being said if 88-98 factroy style wheels will work on a sq body then they should work with the correct hardware.

Re: dually wheels

Yes they will fit. The only reason the special lug nuts are needed is so you can retain the factory cantercaps from the 07, since the caps are held on by threads on the lug nuts.

Re: dually wheels

the only problem with a 4x4 is how much the hubs stick out, so you couldn't use the centre caps E.G. nice new chrome rim, old rusty d60/14B hub stikkin out

Re: dually wheels

Keep in mind that the newer ones are usually alluminum which would increase your mileage (less rolling resistance = easier to turn)

ive looked around and what i can find seem overpriced, and that was just for my ranger, ive looked for dually wheels and most aftermarket ones are 19.5 and i dont really want those

On a dually, the d60 hub is basically flush with the lugnuts. Cut out the center of the cap and it should look real nice.

Re: dually wheels

there are some differences,

the newer dually wheels (2001+) will fit on an older truck, but the older dually wheels (2000 and older) wont fit on a newer dually,

Aftermarket wheels doesnt matter,

I tried putting my 04 dually wheels on a 1995, it worked, but the 1995 wouldnt fit on my 04,

The center hub on the newer wheels is larger, i read somewhere .100 bigger
