Sneak Peek
Progress has been slower than I'd like due to life getting in the way but I know how everyone likes pictures so I thought I post up a few. A couple of the powdercoated frame and some parts and one of the motor almost ready for break-in (not with the shiny stuff).

Re: Sneak Peek
Parts look good, now the fun part is bolting it all together.
BTW, I've taken a few of these trucks apart but I have never seen where a cat bolts on. I don't think it is a stock part. Just don't let it become traction.

Re: Sneak Peek
Yeah I'm looking forward to the "bolting together" process. Especially with clean parts.
The cat is a stray and wandered up that morning. She's already wandered off and headed to the next spot in her life. Motor should be around 500-550 horse. 454 with a few mods. Should be a lot of fun. |

Re: Sneak Peek
Wow, those pieces look amazing.
What color is the PC? Satin Black? Gray/Black? Just though to make it out with the lighting.

Re: Sneak Peek
Thanks for the compliments.
There are two different colors. The frame pieces are silver vein, it has a hammered look. The driveline and suspension pieces are anthracite metallic, medium grey looking. Here are a few more pics that show the colors a little better. |

Re: Sneak Peek
Thanks guys. I hope it turns out as well as the visions in my head.
Red71, yes, it is the truck in my avitar. It started out as "just a rebuild" and now I think I might be afraid to drive it when I'm done. It will be driven though. Here's something else I've been playing with that you guys might like. It's been a lot of fun going to some of the shows in this one, getting feedback and thinking of how the truck should turn out (I hope). |

Re: Sneak Peek
I love it!! That engine just looks wicked cool. I like the lower dual plane better than the tunnel ram.
Where did the tubular control arms come from?

Re: Sneak Peek
Very, very nice. Is the anthracite metallic paint or powder coat?

Re: Sneak Peek
Thanks to all for the kind words. Much appreciated!
Quote:
N2, the anthracite metallic is a powder coat, but we did color match it with paint so some of the parts are powder and some are paint. |

I can't believe no one gave me any crap for that custom blue/rust gear box that snuck into a couple of those pics.

nice work! I like the color choices, and the engine looks sweet too! That camaro is one nice ride, if I ever built one it would be that style.
