Re: What is your dream square??
A crew cab shortbed half ton two wheel drive, red jewel tintcoat, brand new gmc Denali buckets, and drivetrain-6.2/6speed auto, dropmember front porterbuilt rear setup, body clean except stock sport mirrors. Yeah, dream big.

Re: What is your dream square??
I would trade it for a good running TBI 454. This motor was in a 94, is TBI, but needs a special flywheel/flexplate, need to change the harmonic balancer, and weld an adapter for the water pump to intake fitting. Stock is 3/4", it has 1 1/2" or something now. None of which is a big deal, but will all the work I'm doing, dropping a TBI or even carbed 454 would be really nice and less of a headache.

Re: What is your dream square??
My truck is my dream truck. I looked for a long time for a base model truck with no trim, at first I hated the red paint but have grown to live with it. It has been through 2 suspensions, and going on a third. Right now it's on jack stands with no suspension. For now I have a smallblock Chevy and a turbo 350 trans. It will have lowered spindles, and springs and an axle flip in back. I plan on running it at Maxton with the ECTA and upgrading for my skills and speeds.
Future upgrades are trailing arm rear suspension, Cadillac 500, twin turbos, and a rollcage. If money were no object I would recreate my grandad's two trucks. The first a white 78 longbed, with the white buggy wheels, JC Whitney bench/bucket seat and sunvisor. The other a 86 longbed, in red and tan, with the diamond plate running boards and Blaupunkt tape deck. I learned to drive in the 86, and it now belongs to my grandad's close friend, he won't sell it back to me.

Re: What is your dream square??
Something like this, with a different wheel/tire combo, and a nicely built lsx powerplant under the hood. |
