dome light door switch

I am needing to add dome light switch to 3rd door. I have the new switch but do I need a nutsert or something to screw it into. I was thinking maybe I could just drill a hole and screw the switch in but not so sure this will last without working its way loose.

Re: dome light door switch

For anyone else wanting to do this, there are couple of layers of metal this area so I drilled and tapped it and it worked perfectly.

Re: dome light door switch

ran the wire down inside door jamb and under the sill plate to the dome light wire next to glove compartment. Now my alarm works on all 3 doors. The rear hatch is next.
