Instument Cluster w/ Tach Question
I have just finished assembling an Instrument Cluster and have put in a Factory Tach that I picked up in Carlisle this past April. The Big Question......I have an after market wiring harness and can wire the gauges up seperatly. I have the printed circuit board for the Tach but don't want to connect the gauges. I just want to be able to get the dash lights. I do have the original dash plug and can wire it into harness. Is it possible to only get lights on the dash while seperatly wiring the gauges?

Re: Instument Cluster w/ Tach Question
I'm sure you could isolate the lights without a printed circuit on it at all. Maybe "daisy chain" them together? I'm honestly not an electrical expert though...hopefully someone else will see this and chime in...

Re: Instument Cluster w/ Tach Question
I dont see why that wont work, if you have power to the plug and have it grounded. You could just cut the guage circuits off so they wont interfere with the wires.
