Hood Ornaments?
Were these dealer installed?? Was it a factory option? I've seen these on several different trucks....last one I saw was on a 72 Cheyenne???

Chevrolet used that or one very similar to that on monte carlos and are a very popular addition. They are factory, just not for our trucks.

while I never seen documentation, there's been enough trucks pop up to assume that the hood ornaments were a dealer installed option.

Gee...I have never seen a truck wth a "Hood Ornament". Like I said we are always learning something new about these trucks.

There wasa guy in Danville Virginia that put them on every truck he restored and sold them as an accessory in his catalog. I have not seen him in several years, he always was at charlotte auto fair with a stack of those things. Not saying they all came from him but I am sure he help to make them more common at least in this part of the country.
