Caps. It amazes me how many of these trucks have those ralleys on them. They must have made a billion of them.

For that truck in particular, I like the caps better.

Caps. Rallys, while nice, are common as dirt.

Re: This is probably a loaded question…………
Run the ralleys with the whitewall tires. Then when you get a hankering for something different, just pop off the beauty rings and install the hubcaps.

Re: This is probably a loaded question…………
I do not think ralleys were offered in our trucks in 1969.
Those caps were in the brouchure for 1970 and it was printed in July of 1969. See pictures.. keep the caps, that type in good condition aren't to easy to find. It is much harder to find GMC ones though. |

Re: This is probably a loaded question…………
Jason I think we are both surprised how many like the wheel covers... But there again that truck would look good sitting on concrete blocks....

Re: This is probably a loaded question…………
I like the hubcaps too. If you want more of a sporty look go with some aluminum wheels. I see to many of these trucks with ralleys.

Re: This is probably a loaded question…………
I am surprised by the votes so far. I was expecting the rallies to win by 2:1 or something, but it seems like the wheel covers are ahead by 5 or 6 votes. I think I like the caps and the white walls better too. The rallies definitely look “CHEVROLET” too, but just not right or correct. I got the rallies/tires in a trade or something awhile back. If I had been choosing I would have put some white letter tires or even white walls on the rallies, but that was the way I got them. I am going to run the rallies for a while, just for something different, but I bet it won’t be too long ‘til I put the wheel covers back on.
