Exclamation WTB USED Round Outside Rearview Mirror Heads (Black)

yep, looking for a pair of USED, black, round rearview heads. I replaced my old ones years ago, but threw them out. stupid!

now I'd like to find some with a bit of patina for my p.o.s. truck.

my new black ones stand out like a sore thumb! getting ready for Goodguys in a few weeks!

heeeeeeelp!

Re: WTB USED Round Outside Rearview Mirror Heads (Black)

Doug have you ever thought about trying to "patina" your mirrors?
Maybe paint them a flat white and the scotch brite them so a little of the black shows through on the edges.
I think the original mirrors on my Moms '70 lwb were white.
They were replaced in the '80's.
Next time I'm over there I will snap a picture of them.
They have real patina for sure. It's been sitting outside since 1980.
(And I still can't get it away from her)

Keith,
I thought about that. I have one that's got some good patina going, but I may have to mod a newer one. I'll have to show you my rusted carriage bolts for the bed strips, you'll appreciate them I guar-ron-tee!

Hey Doug, is this the style you're after? I pulled it from a 69 and put it on the 54. Sharpie

yes, that is kind of what I'm thinking about. however...... the back of the head would have 3 phillips head screws holding the swivel mount in. thanks for the pic, maybe that will jog someone's memory!

I have one. Only has 2 phillips srews on back. Mounting stud has good threads. Ball on end of stud still tight. Mirror face is good, slight patina. How is $10 plus shipping?

Re: WTB USED Round Outside Rearview Mirror Heads (Black)

You missouri guys know anyone that needs a decent short stepside bed? It does not have fenders on it. Or do you guys have any fenders for it cheap? If so I might keep it.
Just bought a 67 short step with a newer 90's step bed on it and got the original 67 step with it with no fenders.. pondering what I am going to do with them both.. I really want a short fleet but they are hard to find.. I know i am hijacking your thread.. I might see you at the truck show if so I will say hi
