That's a remarkable example, even if it does have the standard aftermarket handle. With all the brackets and hardware it's also a very reasonable price.

Both of mine have GM emblems in mint condition. I had a chance to get one GMC emblem with one of the lights, but since the GM matched the other in design and condition, I stayed with the GM option.
Interesting to note, the handle casting is the early style with the wire clamp, while the wedge is the later design with the bolt and tapered sleeve instead of the early wedge and nut design. Assuming everything in the listing is original, I presume this means the lamp was probably produced somewhere between the late 60's and early 70's. By the mid 70's the handle casting had been revised eliminating the wire clamp. This would also explain the standard handle, same as if you were to buy a new lamp assembly today (or twenty years ago), the short GM handle long since having been obsoleted. |
