Vent window first & rebuilt with new rubber before put in door.
Window Glass
Window regulator
Window rubber strip with window still down
Window rear channel
Interior door handle mechanism

The rest can be place in any order, worked for me two weeks ago.

Re: What order to put a door together?

Thanks,
Sounds good except for one item. I just found out (another oops) after I got one vent window in, the regulator needs to go in before the vent window. The lower part of vent channel blocks the window crank shaft from fitting in the hole.

Re: What order to put a door together?

It may not help you what so ever. But with the door installed, installing the window becomes so difficult for me. I have found that gravity, limited visual inside the door and lack of patience makes this a time consuming process. But if I remove the door lay it flat I can do the job in very short order.15 min versus two hours.
