At a glance I wouldn't even have recognized it as a C10. Maybe I'm just getting older, but the "rat rod" trend seems to be getting a bit played out.

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
I personally think it's cool as hell. There are plenty of cabs and trucks out there, it's not like people should be pressed into using them strictly for original trucks. No matter what you do with your truck there is someone that isn't going to like it. Props to the guy going out and doing something different. I'm sure there is another forum for rat rods where people see our creations and think "Man, what I could have done with that when he first got it." Each to their own, but open up a little. Maybe I'll just go chop my truck up and make it a rat rod since it's not selling.

This one is SICK, makes me want to build a rat rod out of my extra frame and cab..... Maybe I just don't get the whole coal theme of the other one.... Last edited by jacobriley; 09-10-2010 at 04:35 PM. |

Re: And now, for something off the beaten path, I submit..
It is in Rogersville TN. Maybe it was built with parts Tim Christian left be hind? Just kidding! Tim wouldn't do that.
It does appear that the builder used all of the original parts, just in different places. The bed had me puzzled until I saw the front bumper. And just looking at the seat made my butt hurt. He did get a little "ricer" with the coffee can exhaust. That was funny. I wouldn't roll in it, but I would smile if I saw it on the road.
