91 TBI or LS1 in a 71 C10
I am considering buying a 91 chevy truck to pull the motor out of and install in my 71. How hard it a tbi install to do. The truck has a 350 with a turbo 400 trans on it so I don't have to worry about the electronics on the transmission.
I am also looking at a wrecked 99 Silverado that I can buy for $600. It's a 5.3 automatic. Everything is there except the radiator and the starter. What would you guys go with? I know I could have the 350 up and running faster and less expensively, but the LS would probably be nicer.

no question,, LSx stuff is the newer technology as well as having a huge aftermarket that is only going to grow over the next few years.
Now, if I could only find a wrecked silv for 600!!!! lol |

another vote for 5.3. mine has been up and running for a little over a year and it still makes me smile. you should beef up the trans if youre planning on a turbo, nitrous, supercharger later.
$600 is a steal!
