Re: doors

73-76 doors are hard to find in good condition, all you can do is look in the usual places...truck boards, eBay, CL, etc.

Depending on where Bothell is, you might have better luck finding a whole perts truck, taking what you need, and selling the rest.

I agree...there will not be to many options if you want PERFECT doors that don't need any of your TLC on them...check some internet sites and some scrapyards but if you don't want to have to work on them you might want to check into buying each part of the door separate and buying a repro door....

Re: doors

73-76 doors aren't reproduced...and you can't use any 77-87 guts in a 73-76 door...and vice versa.

lmctruck.com lists 73-76 doors in their catalog for $129.95 each.

That might be your best option if you find all the guts locally.

Re: doors

I bought some re-pops for my 76 a few years ago. They were total crap. They were so thin, I was scared to shut them because the tension of the hinge spring made it feel like they were going to fold in half. I replaced them with some OEM power doors. I had them on the parts board for free and still had a hard time getting rid of them.

Re: doors

hhhmm, I'll be darned. If they are repopping them, then it must be somewhat recent...last time I checked, all doors were "73-87"

Thanks for the info guys

Kelsfine69...Door guts are different between 73-76 and 77-87. Roller size changed, window crank shaft changed, not to mention the door panels are different.
