A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint job

Paint it how you want it, but the 80's theme would be my last choice. It's too new to be considered cool or retro, it just looks old.

If it were me, I would go with a solid color, or a nice two tone that ties in with your interior.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint job

this one isn't too bad

although it makes me think of a ford dually

and Jitteryguy's is very nice, I just don't like the broad vertical stripes....
they don't flow very well with the body

you did ask for opinions, it's not like we came in here just forcing our opinion on you

actually this one looks pretty good. i dont mean to offend your ideas, that is just my opinion. But i realized that your going for a restoration, so you wanting the 80's "theme" is understandable.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint job

Didn't mean to offend you, just stating my thoughts becuase I that you were looking for ideas or opinions.

Anyway, if thats what you want as I mentioned go for it. Of those that you posted, the one below has the best over all symmetry.

Re: Need Ideas for Paint job

i like the last design you made on paint or whatever it is. but move the gray up to where the body starts its curve is. know what i mean? and make it a straight line not broken up. i think that would look awesome. and i would also put a black thin strip around the gray to break it up from the maroon a little bit. not to thick of a line but enough to stand out.
