buddy seat ID

Can someone tell me how to identify the manufactor of this seat? Dodge or Gm? I just bought this truck for 500 bucks. No engine, 700r transmission. Title says "68" with small back window!

Re: buddy seat ID

Hard to tell from the pics you posted. They have been recovered. If they are true BB's for P/U's they won't have hard backs on them the larger big trucks had hard back seats that flipped forward. If they were from a van They flopped forward and both seats had adjustable tracks. P/U BB's only the drivers side was capable of seat adjustment. But that was when they were orginally made it would be possible for someone to modify the passenger side with a track if they wanted to. Other than these things to look for on your seats I can only suggest looking at the mount frame for signs of the front bar not having the low dip in the front or the mount holes being altered. If orginal foam (If that's possible?) Is marked GM and usually the year on the bottom center of D/S P/S seat.

Wanted to add that looks like a steal for $500..

Re: buddy seat ID

I would check the title on that one. Sure looks like a 67 to me.
A GM buddy bucket will have an extra support under the center console going to the floor. Dodge doesn't have that, but not sure on the IH seats.

Question Re: buddy seat ID

Does it bolt up to the factory holes?

Re: buddy seat ID

I think the 67 was the only year the small window was offered so check the paperwork not saying that someone in the past may have used a 67 cab in a resto project..

Re: buddy seat ID

that's a 67 ... not only the back window but pretty sure that fender badge is a 67-only piece too for GMC
