Should I buy?

Hey guys. I've been around for awhile, mostly reading and admiring. I've wanted one of these trucks for a long time. I want a 4 wheel drive, or a 2 wheel drive with a short box, but this truck is about 7 miles from home. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet as I farm and we're busy with harvest. Anyway, I'm guessing there's a lot of work left on this pickup to be done. I'm thinking about taking a pass at it. What do you think? I think the wife's ok with it, so we're good there.

Hard to say from the pictures - it's at least worth a look at - it doesn't cost you anything and you get a little more familiar with these trucks. I say check it out.

Re: Should I buy?

I see a truck with rust holes that are normal for something that age.
Check the cab mounts and the area above the windshield for rust holes.
The interior is in good shape.
The trim is all there and in fairly good shape.
A/C is a good thing.
I think those wheels are 8 bolts. Heavy duty truck, but it will "ride like a truck" haha.

There are so many of these trucks out there, I say wait til the harvest is over and get exactly what you want.

Re: Should I buy?

I don't know what your budget is, but I have seen quite a few 67-72's listed in the GI, Lincoln and Omaha Craig's List lately, many for decent prices for driver quality trucks. If it were me I'd hold out and find what you want.

I've noticed that too. I just was thinking that maybe since this one was close to home I'd check it out. After sleeping on it, I decided to hold off. I never see any of these trucks around here, so I wanna know where all the guys listing them on craigslist have been hiding them!
