What should drop look like?

My truck is dropped 2 1/2 inch in the front, and 4 inches in the rear. I think it sits to high in the rear. See Pic. Could you show pic's of you trucks. I might have got the wrong drop rear coil's. I think the truck should sit level. It is going up hill in the pic. Thanks. I added a pic with the truck on level ground.

Re: What should drop loo like?

I think your truck looks great! perfect as is. I look at the distance between the tire and fender at the top. If that distance is the same or close in my mind its gold. nice ride. cheers, Pat

Re: What should drop loo like?

I think it looks sweet. what suspension drop are you running up front? ya maybe could go a five in back but any more ya would probably have to change the front again. Again I think it looks good I like a little rake look to them rather than level. Sweet truck

I guess your driveway slopes a bit. Might try some more pics with it sitting on a level surface. That's a great excuse for more pics anyway.

I did a 3.5 / 5 drop and have the same issue as you.

Re: What should drop look like?

IMO.. a 3.5/5" drop would look perfect, that is if you can fit the 22's under the truck still.

The wheels/tires will make all the difference in the world. Each truck will be set up differently and be difficult to identify "exactly" how a 2.5/4" should look.

Here's a shot of my '69 running a 4.5/6" drop (w/o c-notch) running 20's on all 4-corners:

Re: What should drop look like?

Keep in mind if you drop more than 4" in the rear I believe you will also need a panhard bar and shock relocators ...correct me if I'm wrong. By the way...nice looking truck.

Here is a pic of my 2"/4" drop...

Re: What should drop look like?

truck looks great!..I'd put a one inch drop block in the back if it was mine...... take some measurements from the center of the wheel arch front and rear to the ground and that should give you an idea of how much drop you need in rear. good luck

It's fairly easy, you just cut the top half of the picture off and paste it back lower.....call it a freebie, but you can't move it from right where it sits

This is a little harder, but it's pretty cool, not to mention fun.
