tailgate upper molding/handle question

I'm having some trouble getting the handle to clear on my new tailgate. I'm wondering if the center piece of the upper molding goes over or under the outer pieces?

Re: tailgate upper molding/handle question

I did mine and I ran it under the left&right trim. try this , put the center section on the tailgate then, push the sides onto the center section one at a time (to bend the ends to fit the center section) without the threaded fittings @ the ends. push them in until they are even with the edge of the tailgate on both sides. then remove them install the mounting studs& mount them! thats how I did mine. best of luck! cheers, Pat
