Exclamation Door Weatherstrip Install on Fiberglass Top

Hi,

Finally getting my project back together and need some help. Got the top painted and installing all new weatherstrip. Problem is the Single wall top was purchased separate with no original weatherstrip. So I dont have anything to work from and the factory assembly manual only appears to show doublewalls with little detail.

Question: How do you mount the weatherstrip around the door windows on a single wall top. Is it just glued in? I see screw holes so was there some sort of metal channel or strip that fit into along the door top glass portion? If so I'm gonna have to try and find some.

If someone with a single wall top can take a high resolution picture of how that is mounted (close up please) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Darrel

Yes, there should a metal channel screwed to the top, that the rubber fits into.

May be a single wall only thing. On my double wall, the rubber is held on with adhesive.

red71cheyenne is correct. The channel is a single wall top only thing. The double wall tops had holes drilled in the weatherstrip area also, but that was for plastic push-in clips that held the weatherstrip in place. The reproductions do not have the push-in clips, they are designed to glue in. WES

WES... Is the single wall repop rubber designed as glue-in too? Or do we need the metal?
