Will tire size 235/75 R15 fit on 7 or 8 inch wide rims?

Sure will....235-75-15 is about the most popular light truck tire in the world, and usually, they come on 15x7 or 15x8, either one. I don't think I've ever heard of them coming on a 9" wheel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Somebody told me 8 and another 7.I want to buy some new rims but want to make sure they fit my tires.

They'll fit on either an 8 or 7" rim, but if I had my choice in the matter, I'd go 7" just to be 100% sure. I know my old S-10 blazer had 235 75's, and the alloy wheels were 15x7". Wheels were factory, and the tires size is what came on it from Chevy, so....go with 7".

i mounted 235's on 8 inch 4X4 ralley wheels. they fit fine

Differing opinions, may as well toss mine in. Rough rule of thumb, rim width should more or less equal tread width, plus or minus a bit of course. 235/75 is not too wide, personally I would opt for 7" rim. While I'm sure they'll mount up and work on 8", IMO they are designed more for a 7" width. YMMV

They fit well on 7" rim, I think it would stretch a bit on an 8" rim.

I have a 235 on a 9.5 inch rim...don't do it. Looks liek a real fat guy with really small feet.
