1967 'Burb Models

Is there a Custom model and then a Custom Deluxe model?

Found a Custom at least on the door I have my eye on but unsure about the different trim/model differences.

Can someone please enlighten me?

I know on the trucks there was a custom package which was not much and then a custom deluxe package but am unclear as to what year the deluxe package came out i was thinking after 70 or 71.
where abouts you live in the Gateway city I live here too would love to hook up some time i am looking for a 67-72 burban and have a 69 pickup

yup, 67 would have base, Custom and CST trim levels.

SO with the Custom model each truck/'burb could be different as far as what is standard and what is optional?

Just trying to get an idea what comes with a Custom vs. other models.

My 68 is a "Custom".

Not much of an "optioned out" truck compared to the later models.
In my case the Custom option included bright trim on the sides, a radio, cloth seats, bright trim on the windshield molding, and a nicer vinyl cover on all the interior side panels with arm rests.

IMO the trucks got better options starting 1969, and everything before was pretty basic stuff.

Yes. A CST would have more options than a Custom. And Vectorit is right. There is a HUGE difference between a loaded 67' or 68' truck/burb and a loaded 72' truck/burb.

I dont ever remember seeing CST in a burb, just standard or custom in 67 68. The custom model gave you the upgraded interior and chrome accents. CST was an option offered only on fleetside pickups.

I dont have much input for CST vs Custom,but I have a 67 K10 that is as base as it gets,no chrome anywhere, radio delete, manual brakes and steering,the only things that are going for it is it had gauges a V8 and 4X4.

'72 Custom Deluxe - I've got the front and rear AC (which is pretty nice - or will be when I get it working) - but otherwise, there's NO: sunroof, "extra" cup holders, no FM radio (although I've heard it was an option in '72), CD/DVD/MP3 player, 17"/18"/19"/20" alloy wheels, navigation system, leather seats, power seats, power antenna, clock, outside temp, travel computer, carpeting, child restraint system, ABS, airbags, climate controlled cabin, cabin air filter, multiple power outlets (although it does have a cigarette lighter and A LOT of ashtrays), center console, seat heaters, fog lamps, OnStar, or Internet access. What I like about the truck is the simplicity - even at the "custom deluxe" level. What I also like is how on a cold day it kind of starts slow - doesn't feel like shifting gears until it warms up and then when it's warm it's as smooth as it can be - kinda' like it's alive.

oh - forgot I also don't have rear glass defroster, rear hatch wiper, heated side mirrors, power side mirror, 3 point seat belts, auto dimming rear view mirror, power lift gate, reclining seats, adjustable back seats, adjustable brake pedal, automatic wiper blades, vanity mirrors, alarm system (don't tell anyone), back-up sensors...

This is partially true.
While the CST was never offered on burbs, it was optional on fleetsides, stepsides, even cab/chassis trucks. I think it was even on blazers too.

info like that was why I got rid of the red book. It is full of mistakes like that.
It's all good, we all pass on wrong info from a book at one point or another on here.

I'm sure I posted this some place on this board but doing it again.

As I do not know much about this option on my 'burb.

It has an A/C unit under the bench seat just behind the driver & passenger seats. There is a small A/C knob on the dash on the left hand lower side to switch the unit on/off.

Anyone else on every seen on of these?
