Re: Who uses their 60-66 as a daily driver
My '64 is a daily driver and if I can get the heater installed soon it will still be driven through the winter.

Re: Who uses their 60-66 as a daily driver
my 66 is my daily driver. its alittle inconvenient sometimes with no power steering, no power brakes, and a broken speedo but i love drivin the thing. my 05 gmc gets driven maybe once a week. to bad i still have to pay 300 a month.

Re: Who uses their 60-66 as a daily driver
Mine is not done yet, but I am building it with the intention for it to be my daily driver. Olds 350, TH-350, and whatever gears are in the rear end now. Before I got my '03 Ranger about 5 years ago I drove my '79 Camaro everywhere and every day for about 5 years, sun, rain, snow, whatever. Loved it and miss driving a classic daily.

Re: Who uses their 60-66 as a daily driver
I used my 65 for a dd until a couple weeks ago. Have to go through the brakes and put a tire on the front before she returns to dd duty.

haha, I drive mine since it gets such good mileage compared to my other truck which nets single digit mileage

Re: Who uses their 60-66 as a daily driver
I use my 65 as a DD and since I swapped out the 4 speed for the T5 I REALLY love driving it, it's like having a new truck. Of course I have to swap off with the 55 so it doesn't get upset

Re: Who uses their 60-66 as a daily driver
I am still running the inline 6cyl. I just changed engines about 1 month ago to a 250ci but same basic thing. The T5 is awesome with the 6 cyl. best thing I've done to the truck, P/S nice but the 5 spd is really great. Others on this board have done this also and have pretty much the same response. Last Friday I drove 2 hours south and back and it just cruises down the highway nice and smooth.
