Bumpers and Such. . .

Hey guys I got a question, what other bumpers will bolt up to my 1970 GMC, with little or no modification. Pics would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

Front or back? What are you going for? Custom look? Original look? Step bumper?

Re: Bumpers and Such. . .

While this topic's active, I'm wondering a question along the same lines: will a '87 utility bumper fit on my 69, and if so, will I have to modify bolt holes etc. or it to fit?

Re: Bumpers and Such. . .

Mitch, if it's a stock look you are going for you can use any 67-72 bumper. A 67-70 Chevy bumper will be very similar, it just won't have the notches for your parking lights that are in the grill of your GMC. The 71-72 Chevy will have the parking lights in the bumper and again won't have the notches. All 67-72 GMC bumpers are the same.

Re: Bumpers and Such. . .

When i bought my truck it had and still has a bumper from a 73-87 style on it. The angle brackets and the lower 2 bolts (one in each frame rail) are in the top one on each rail does not mate up. But the bumper does look ok on the truck. Just have not got to a point of how or what i want to do. Might try to get a couple pics to post tomorrow evening.
