i went with a combo of shiny and some elbow grease and rattle can on some m/t valve covers i had laying around. i think it ended up as a good combo. just an idea for yah

Just finished up with mine last night. Blasted and painted everything we took off. Nothing shiny but the carb.

owned this one maybe two months now
the engine block sounds the same #,not stock for the truck it's cleaner now used elbow grease since to pull the block,replace flywheel

I'm a firm believer in the spray can rebuild, as long as it is running well. Here is what I'm doing to mine...

Anymore pics of your engine??? I'd like to see how the hoses around the engine are connected...mine came with no heater and ac. So, those hoses are not a concern for me.
