72 tigger, very nice job! Do you have a build thread on your truck? Your instrument cluster looks awesome!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

I'm terrible at recording (notes & photos) builds. Basically I took a solid 1/2 ton 2WD that was hit hard in the LF & used that cab & bed. The Dodge was a light roll (frame was straight) with 23,000 miles. I removed the Dodge body, cut off all the body mounts, & removed 12.5 inches from the wheelbase. Then I took a straight Chevy chassis & measured the distance between (& elevation changes)of the body mounts. I then replicated the Chevy mounts on the Dodge chassis. I installed the cab & hooked up (fabricated) everything I could - much easier to work on stuff without any sheetmetal in the way. Then installed the rad support (extreme fabrication) & the dog house. The bed bolted up to the new mounts without much trouble. This project obviously required a lot of fab work but wasn't terrible. I had about 5 months (working evening & saturdays) in it start to finish. Thanks for the nice comments!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

my dads old truck buryed into a telephone pole.

My cousin was driving who is very mentally unstable. He hit the pole at 55mph with no seat belt. Got out of the truck and was fine.

Pushed the pole 12 ft.

I was the first one to the accident and watched it happen in the rear-view of my 71 k10. They drove me home from the hospital in that sonoma when i was born lol.

Nice truck. It looks almost purple in the earlier pic and then light blue in the later one. Which is it? Also, do you have a 67 as well, as your screen name indicates?

Thanks. It's 1994 GMC Medium Blue Metallic. In different lighting, it looks anything from almost purple to dark blue-green. Really happy with how it turned out.

No, my truck is a '69. My screen name is from my dream car, a '67 Camaro.

You sure its not a 67? The fenders and bed look like a 67, but the front trim is for a 68. Interesting..

67 and 68's are the same except for side markers and most 67's are a small back window
