Fired up my dads 78, 1 ton
So back in '99 my dad has his 350 go out, buys a rebuilt 305 to put in.....running like a champ.....2 days later busted water pump......
FOUR YEARS LATER... Got to working on it with our mechanic, and fired it up w/ new water pump, plugs and other donated parts from my toasted 307. I think my mom was watching from wherever God may have her , she hated seeing that truck just sittin' there....lots of memories and hard earned living.... It is practically a fresh rebuilt engine...just sat forever.....AND GUESS WHAT??? My dad is going to give it to me for Ol' Rusty, Hope fully it will turn out ok....but we will just see. So no 350....just hopefully a good 305. My dads gonna put something in his 78....a 290 I6 or even rebuild my 307. Who knows but I'm excited.....I just hope it turns out to last me a few years....one never knows but I'm gonna take that chance. Maybe it will last a few months while I save some cash for the worst......It runs real steady, clean and fires right up on the first crank!!!! Man I'm excited guys!!!! My dad said a few weeks and it'll beat in my truck. Rusty will ride again....
