Damm!! How fast was she going and what was she driving? Tore your truck up good. All that matters is that no one got hurt. As stated before material things can be replaced. Good luck.

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild
Tough day. Like everyone else here, glad you walked away. Not trying to be cute, but I would get my eyes checked out after a hit like that. The jolt from the impact can burst blood vessels inside your eyes. If you see dots, see the doc. Retinal damage can cause blindness and you need to be able to see for the next truck you are going to do. Good luck and be safe..

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild
Glad your OK dude. Were you wearing seat belt? Always wondered if the belt in mine would do me any good in an accident. Happy Thanksgiving and glad you're here to celebrate it. Black Friday looks like a good day for truck shopping. LOL.

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild
+1 On going to a DR, things can be hidden and show up later down the road, also don't settle right away on any medical, even if you don't have large bills, and even if you go to a DR and they say nothing is wrong, wait at least a month just in case something pops up.
Sorry to read about this but glad you walked away!!

Wow amazing pics...Glad to see that your ok and were able to walk away. One question did you have lap belts or did you upgrade your seat belts to something newer?

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild
Hang in there man! The most important thing is that you are here with us today. You will make the next truck even better. But, you'll always have a soft spot for this truck though, I know from experience.

Wow, hate it about your truck but I'm sure you've got a new appreciation for Thanksgiving day! Glad you're still with us. Like others have said trucks can always be replaced. Sure shows how well these old trucks will take a hit!

Umm, yeah - I don't think it's rebuildable. Oh, wait, I think I see a useable part... nope. That thing is an organ donor now.

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild
ditto!
Good day to be alive cause you are here to talk about what happened. Been there myself as an old guy ran a stop sign and tore mine all up and spun me into two other cars. At the scene he was admitting guilt and would take care of everyone's vehicles. A few days later he was pennyless, sick and just couldn't do anything for my loss but told the others he'd take care of theirs. Theirs were much newer cars. My family lawyer was involved. He filed an SR22 or something and within 10 days I received a settlement. I was not injured so it was simple. My truck was not totaled as yours will be. I hope you can locate a suitable replacement quickly and get back on the road.

Man, max she did a number on your truck!!! I can't believe you didn't get some kind of bodily injury from that... I would think she would have to be traveling at a pretty good clip to do that much damage. I hope you get enough out of it to finance another one. Good luck on the outcome. LockDoc

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild
There is probably some good salvagable parts on the truck, cant help wonder what the insurance co would want to buy the truck back if it would be cost effective to grab the engine, tranny and other parts, something to keep in mind for the next build up.
