Re: Towing with a lowered suspension?
I was thinking of pulling a pop-up trailer around next summer for camping and I have a 3/4 drop on my 67 C10 LWB.

Re: Towing with a lowered suspension?
Consider using air shocks or helper air bags....

Re: Towing with a lowered suspension?
if you pull good size trailers, use 3/4 ton lowering springs on the back and try to keep the front/rear drop ratio close. the factory rake helps counteract the tongue weight of a trailer. you want a level rig after its hitched up, but leveled before and.....fugly.....

Re: Towing with a lowered suspension?
i had lowered longbed spindles upfront and 4" outback// had no problem towing, moved 1500miles with the bed full and a 20' trailer filled with shop equipment and parts. had no problems at 70mph . did that trip twice. plus add to that a whole bunch of swapmeet and fleamarket weekends that i traveled 500-600miles to i never had one towing problem tho i didnt care for the snow and ice covered roads that much
alot depends on the condition and how up you are on maintenence as well as how you load and balance a trailer

4-6 drop haul 4weeler and tow a boat. The ride is a ittle rougher but never had any problems keeping it all going the same speed and direction.

Re: Towing with a lowered suspension?
3-4 drop on my 3/4 ton gmc, I've pulled 6000# trailer and have had 3200# in the bed, right now it has about 2500# of dirt and busted up concrete in it and I've never had any problems. I would consider running helper bags though, because anything over about 1200# and its hitting the bumpstops. With the load I have in it right now there is pretty much no travel left, its riding the bumpstops.
