Re: 70 chevy with 54K
I had to get a new sending unit for the tank, did a little tune up and have been driving it some here and there. I decided to freshen it up with a sandblast/repaint on the wheels and back bumper. I also had some chrome caps lying around I decide to put on. Cleaned up the looks some and those little 205/75's are easy to turn up front.

Re: 70 chevy with 54K
I love that thing.I wish I could find one like that just to drive.I like that stocker look after all the changes most got over the years. That's still just a good ole practical truck

Re: 70 chevy with 54K
I need to realign the adjustment for the column shift, some clean up on interior and just drive as a weekend truck just as is. I'll probably add a HEI. Use it run to lowes, get yard stuff , chores.
I've got another 67 with a 292 Im doing the same with. I'll keep it out at the 10 acres I bought. The guy I bought it from said his dad originally bought to haul his golf clubs around. LOL. The bed floor has some rust from leaves sitting in it so long.

I've done this with a few of them now. clean up wheels and back bumper and it really stands out. I should call it the bleach white treatment

Re: 70 chevy with 54K
Pretty cool old truck - it seems like you don't see many with just the lower trim. That's a driver for sure. Good find!
