Project "Chopper hauler"
Just bought this the other day, Have a 350 4 bolt and probably going to go with a built 200r4. It had a 383 w/th350. This site was one reason I bought this old 65. I think I'll be using this site alot as I go.

Re: Project "Chopper hauler"
I absolutely love the truck- it's like a preview of what I want to do with mine (moon discs and scallops)
Welcome- this site is a great resource- if these guys can't help you do it- it can't be done- there is a LOT of knowledge and talent here.

Re: Project "Chopper hauler"
the 200 is the same size as a turbo 350, and mounts the same. you have to get a kit to lock up the electric converter.
I have heard that if you get them beefed up a little they will handle lots of HP and that the ratios are better than a 700r4 nice truck to start with. |

Re: Project "Chopper hauler"
I built, wrecked, rebuild a chopper and have been working on getting this beast up to par befor winter. Put a 327 with a th350. I got all the electrical worked out and dash gauges all working. Still need to do some more work on the interior and then it will be a disc brake swap and also redo the suspension while I’m at it. Hopefully ill be better at posting!
