1979 tilt column & ps box swap

Does anybody know, if a tilt column, and the power steering box, out of a 1979 C10, will all bolt right into a 1965 C10 without shortening the steering column shaft?
Thanks to all
Frank

I believe the column will need to be shortened a little. The shafts on those columns have the collapseable shaft, so all you need to do is drill out the holes with the plastic that holds it in place. Then you should be able to slide it to the length you need. For the steering box, you will need an adapter plate to mount it to the frame. I have those for sale. There is a link in my sig
