Turn signal switch replacement help
Hi all,
I am currently redoing a 72 blazer and have a question about the turn signal switch. Right now it has one of the cheesy aftermarket giant silver switch that is bolted on the outside of the column. My question is can I take that off and hook up the OEM style? If so do I only need the lever or is there another switch that needs to be installed in the column. If not do I need a new column to get to the OEM look? Thanks |

Re: Turn signal switch replacement help
You would be best changing out the signal lever from another unit of the same year, if you need to change out the electrical switch column parts, they should be easy to find at LMC parts easily.

Re: Turn signal switch replacement help
Did it have a turn signal in the column to begin with? A new turn signal switch includes the wires and plug that run outside on the underside of the column, there's a cover that goes over the wires. If the column had a switch originally you should be able to screw the new one right in. You will have to get the steel lever the connects to it. Is there a switch in the column, you should be able to see it through the lever hole on the left side of column. It will be a white plastic part, the lever sits in a slot with a screw going through it, you will have to pull the steering wheel to do it, it's a really easy project
