Re: Mod-Bods on eBay

I talked to the seller and at some point the blazer hit a cow and the front sheet metal was replaced and couldn't find the decals so they had a GM body shop paint the front end to match the rest.

Just a little funny heads up.

Re: Mod-Bods on eBay

Looks like a nice truck. Did anyone else notice that the vin starts with a C, I thought all 4x4's started with a K. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In '72, GM added an extra digit to the vin's. Chevy got a 'C' (CKE, CCE) and GMC got a 'T' (TKE, TCE) at the beginning of the serial number. The second digit then represents 2 or 4 wheel drive... in this case it is a K and is correct for the year and driveline.

Re: Mod-Bods on eBay

I swear that exact Blazer lived in my town for the last two years. I could be wrong, but one almost exactly like that was in craigslist about two hours from here two years ago and was bought locally. The kid put black wheels on it just like those. It lived two blocks from me, I will have to drive by and see if it's still there. It had very similar rust issues too.

About 1 hour south ,SE of columbus,OH

Looked at my notes and he also talked about the rust into the rear floor/ tub section and the drivers and pass, Pinion seals leaking / had to fill up and strated to drip after drive. It was parked for about 10 years .

This info was from the seller info as we talked on the phone.

Re: Mod-Bods on eBay

I am almost 100% positive that the blazer in the ebay ad sold on Craigslist right before Christmas last year. I remember because I was looking for a blazer at the time. The ad had it for $3,500. I saw the ad the day after it was posted. Told the guy I would buy it, but it was already sold. I can't remember where it was from exactly but it was somewhere in the western midwest. Good luck on getting it Teeitup; just don't part it if you do!

Re: Mod-Bods on eBay

I decided to pass on it, If it would of had original stripes on it I might of bid. $5000 for it isn't bad in my opinion.

Re: Mod-Bods on eBay

I don't think it's worth it."Only rust is below trim" The floor, rockers, torque boxes, lower quarters, door bottoms, tailgate bottom, body mounts, sills, kick panels, bottom of core support are all below that line. That's what rusts out. I guess he's saying the windshield frame and cowl are good, which are often rusted.
