Re: I need help with a head light switch
Man, wish you had posted a day earlier, could have had pictures, had mine apart to replace dash bulbs. First, to take out knob and stem, reach up behind dash and on top of the switch. Theres a spring loaded button on top that has to be pushed down at the same time as you pull the knob out gently. Don't force it, it will come out easy when button is down all the way. Next, pull the electrical connector off the back of switch. Now, on front, turn the chrome trim ring off the switch, this is called the Bezel. Now you have to take off the lock nut and washer and the switch should come out. Verify the replacement switch is identical to old switch, especially where connector goes. Took me 2 tries at NAPA to get one where connector would fit. Good luck.

Pull fuse for headlights or disconnect battery first. Your headlights might be on for little bit.

Re: I need help with a head light switch
Then search this site for "headlight relay". This modification will take the large factory given load off your new switch. You'll probably never have to change your switch again.
