dont know for sure, but probably some tape for a strait line, a grinder/air cutter with a cutt off wheel, and patience so you dont slip when first starting to make the cut

Impractical, to say the least. You would be better off purchasing what you need.

I agree with 68gmsee, just make sure you have it down solid and go slow. It wouldn't have to be perfect if it goes under the wheel arch pieces. LockDoc

Here's the reason to go slow and careful.
The ends that you need to cut off have to be cut so that the arched piece slides under the front piece and the back piece. Good luck and if you need some measurements let me know. |

Re: cutting 67 68 trim to fit a short bed
I don't have a way to measure all of them since I just have the side trim pieces. I believe the only ones you will need to trim are the pieces in front of and behind the wheel well arch. When you get the pieces double check and I'll get my tape out measure the ones that I have.
Shoot me a message so I can be sure to get it. |

Re: cutting 67 68 trim to fit a short bed
You sure can cut them down. I've done it to two sets it's pretty easy. I used a cutoff wheel in a dremel. What I did was put the wheel arch on and then hold the front/back pieces up and marked them. Pretty easy.

Agree with jwalk... A dremel tool work real well for this. Just fit it, mark it, tape it off and start cutting. You will have to notch the back but the dremel will work well for this also. I have succesfully modified several pieces like this.
