raising torsion on a 2005 2500 4x4
I did this on one my other tucks but its been 8 years ago and I don't remember what I did. I bought new tires and they are a bit bigger than stock, so I need to raise the front part up on truck. I think I remember there were 2 bolts about middle of under side of cab. Is this right? If so which way do I turn them to raise the truck. Thanks for the help, Randy

Randy
You turn them clockwise to raise the front end. Jack the front end up to take some pressure off the torsion bars before you start, it'll make it a little easier to tighten the bolts.

Dont forget to get a wheel alignment when your done so you dont wear them new tires out right away. Also move in each screw an equal amount of turns so it will remail level side to side. X2 on jacking it up to take pressure off the bolts.

Yes, as you raise it it will give you negative camber at the new ride height. Some people let it slide by but when a person can easily spend $600-$1000+ on a set of tires I think a $100 alignment is cheap. JMO. Post up some pics of the bad boy when you get them new shoes on.

I turned my o4' 2500 HD 3 1/2 turns to get it up high enough not to rub. Good idea to get alignment checked.I was wearing tires out on the outside after alignment so I put new shocks on and that took care of it.
