Re: slik ricks 67 short wide CST

I cant believe how lucky you are to have stumbled on a 302. The Chevy Gods are smiling down on you. I am going to have my completely stock 327 Original Engine rebuilt and put it back in its original resting place, hopefully with a few more ponies pushing it down the road. I figure Cam, Intake, Carb and headers should put a few more ponies under the hood. It has the original Power Pack Heads and the valves are fairly small but the combustion chambers are really tight. So I also think that for its 44th bday you should have it done, with a Before and After picture posted. No Pressure. On the Serious side that is one great looking truck and the work your doing is top notch. Look forward to seeing it done.

Im really torn on weather I should keep it or not. I started looking at how much it is to replace it and the old molding is getting better looking all the time. $800 is no chump change. Yeah the thickness of the Filler is my inabiltiy to skim coat worth a darn. I am going to take the 36 to it and then do the final touches with the 80. It should be pretty thin by time I shoot the high build on it.

Excuses, excuses. j/k I really need to get mine registered...I just HATE dealing with DMV and i've been putting it off. Not to mention how much it's going to cost with an inspection and stuff. Get some pics soon, or I'm going to have to tell Eric so we can bother you until you post pics lol

Re: slik ricks 67 short wide CST

California must be difficult to change registrations. I bought my suburban with a release of interest that was 8 years old and it hadn't been registered for 4 years before that. Was abandoned at a self storage lot. The state investigated the last known owner and it still matched the name on the release of interest. I have a clean title and no worries from prying eyes if it is mine or not.

Yeah California makes everything 10x more complicated and expensive than it needs to be.

Re: slik ricks 67 short wide CST

california may have unrusted parts but they would like nothing better than for every old car/truck off the road and junked! they make evrything complicated so they can not be road worthy , we are one of the only states that makes us have front and rear plates

Yep. I HATE California. The only reason we have stayed this long is because my parents had jobs. But that's changed. so now I'm ready to get out of here. Too many hippy's who don't appreciate classics
