Pass. Vanity Mirror ?

This morning while going to Dr's office my wife was checking her makeup and hairdo in the vanity mirror on our '99 Tahoe. As she lifted the flap cover on the vanity mirror the last plastic hinge portion snapped leaving the cover flap completly loose. The light still works (stays on until replace the cover over it) but cover just lays over the mirror. When you roll the visor down it falls in her lap. Question is: how does one remove the mirror from the visor and replace with one from a salvage yard? Visor is in good shape other than that with no tears or rips. Small item I know but wife would like it fixed.

Re: Pass. Vanity Mirror ?

I had the same thing happen in my '99 hoe. It's much easier to just replace the whole visor. I didn't mess around with trying to just replace the mirror. good luck

Re: Pass. Vanity Mirror ?

Thanks for the reply, guess I need to find a decent one in a salvage yard. I have a tan cloth interior so maybe won't be so hard. When removing the visor is there an electrical connector plug or did you cut and splice the power wire lead to the mirror?
