Cab mount install order
Hey guys,
gonna attempt to install the rubber cab mount kit from classic parts tomorrow and need a little reassurance. I didn't know this, but i guess that kit comes with the core support mounts too? NOT bad for $75! anyway, is the picture below the correct order of the parts? I assume the spacers in the kit are for the front cab mounts, and I reuse the core and rear cab mount spacers?? also, I reuse the bolts for the core and front mounts, right? Let me know if I am in order. Thanks!

Re: Cab mount install order
Well, got em installed...thought it would be a couple hours...ended up taking 8. So, as soon as I got them in i shut the doors, and ah! They dont close! She must have been saggin quite a bit! guess I have a task for tomorrow...
I also realized a couple of things. 1) working in an uninsulated garage in MN in January is really stupid. 2) Believing a 40 year old bolt will just loosen with PB Blaster will lead to dissapointment. All in all, I'm glad i dont have to screw with cab mounts for a VERY long time to come.

Re: Cab mount install order
How was the ride after? Did it effect handling/ride/quiteness? Etc, this is on my list to do in the near future, looking to see how important it is..
Thanks

Re: Cab mount install order
The one thing I can say is that cab shakes in unison with the rest of the truck, so the body roll is way less.
The problem I have now is that I can't get my doors to shut. I replaced all the cab mounts with new shims, but didn't add any more or less than what was there originally. I tried to adjust the door strike plates, but I can't move them down far enough to engage the latch. it is the same on each side....both doors hit the jam low. Anyone know what I need to do?
