SO-CAL/I.E. '67-'72 Truck Club?

Just checking if one exists? I'm going out on the road for SO-CAL Speed Shop next month and doing a ton of traveling throughout the year- was hoping to bring back lots of parts I can share with local friends and help each other keep our projects going. Any thoughts? Thanks Jim

I am in Corona too. I don't think we have any truck clubs here, but we should!

Just being into the trucks is enough. Most of us have projects and could share the help and enthusiasm. That's what I'm looking for- not a bunch of guys all with finished trucks that line up at shows with matching embroidered chairs

Temecula area here.

I wish there was a local truck club, then there would be a better network on finding things. For instance, I am looking for a 4x4 transmission shop that will work on my burb with out wanting to over charge me just because it's old.

OK- I think there a TON of fellow enthusiasts out here- Let's get this started! My dad has been in serious clubs like L.A. Roadsters and Early Times for decades so I know how it works- but don't need to be as strict as those- just helps to have a structure. It can lead to setting up an event/swapmeet that could be a ton of fun. L.A. is the toughest area to start anything new, but I'm totally into it.

We dont have a "club" but I have hung out with several members from the board at different events and kept correnspondence by using the midwest regional section. One of the guys even made us stickers with "Midwest crew" on them. I would start a thread on the California section...

Jim- Nah, I don't go there much anymore. Between the parking fee, admission fee, and $10-a-cup Keystone keg beer, half my budget is blown before I even get to browse To top it off, most sellers there have a case of Barrett-Jacksonitis. Have fun though, it's a BEAUTIFUL day here in So Cal

Re: SO-CAL/I.E. '67-'72 Truck Club?

Ill chime in on this! I Live in Rancho Cucamonga, and I would LOVE to have a group start up. Unfortunatly my job sends me out of the country for months at a time but when I am home, Im a car meet, show, whatever whore... Im sure we could all get something great going here. Yea, my truck is gonna be a polished up beauty queen, but that doesnt mean it not gonna get driven like a proper vehicle should be. By the way it sounds, with people from SB, Ont, mr in Rancho, Riverside, and I know there are another couple guys up here in the Rancho/Alta Loma area that would like to join. Shoot, even all you guys from SD and the OC, if you feel like a drive are welcome. I think this could be alot of fun guys... Jim, what do you think???

I think putting this and leaving it for a little while can get alot more exposure... I know how many times I actually go the the SoCal section.... NONE! its dead as hell down there. I pretty much spend my time here and in the classifieds. Leave it here for a little while before you guys move it. Lets see who we can get to chime in

LedZepp-next time go in the entrance at the top where the venders/swap meet sellers go in-it costs $25 bucks! total- if you are in a "up to 72" vehicle, you park where the cars are for sale and you can bring as much Keystone as a SWB can carry-that's another reason I drive a 3/4 long bed-Steve

Nice, now we've got the $9/parking, $10/admission, and ~$20/beer down to $12.50, not including a 12 pack of whatever beer you enjoy... Im liking the sound of it
