Side trim on a stepside truck

I was trying to figure this out for my brothers project..he has a 65 step side that he is going ot put the custom cab kit on. But is there a piece of trim that goes on the side of the fenders and along the door like the fleetside? I know it wouldnt go on the bed i dont think, but what about it just stopping with the cab?

Re: Side trim on a stepside truck

well, juse bcuz I've never seen it doesn't mean it couldn't be done... but it seems that trim on the cab would look out of place without something stretching back to the bed to line up with it. My 2 cents only, I bet there could be some cool wayh to make it work though.

Just take a look at the Twilight truck for an idea of how it will look. Different year, same concept. Perhaps something could fabricated for the fenders than looked appropriate.

That poor truck deserves a wash and wax.

It’s a girl movie that redeems itself by starring a 63 long step.

These trucks were “designed” to be fleetsides, so they were the only models to receive side trim.
